On Remembrance Day, the day dedicated to honoring Canadian war veterans, HomeEquity Bank always seeks to raise donations to help them have a better retirement. However, many people, caught up in their daily routines, have become disconnected from what these former soldiers did for the country.
We discovered a glitch in calendar apps like Outlook and Google that allows meetings to be booked for events that happened in the past. We used this as a new medium to send thousands of invites to battles and key historical events experienced by soldiers, directly to Canadians’ emails—catching their attention in the middle of their daily routine.
